The Beatles were one of the best bands ever, but if you know their history, then you know they claimed to owe everything they did to the ones who came before: Buddy Holly, Fats Domino, and even claimed their harmonies were "manufactured" after the Everyly Brothers. True, John was not the greatest soloist in the band, but NONE of them were. It was the harmonies and way they put those harmonies together that made the Beatles sound the way they sounded....beautiful.

The way i see it is that there has been around 40 years of good music which i havent experienced. Why not listen to all that great music rather than the limited selection coming out now.
