Awesome vid! I really dig the "everyman" approach to detailing with the little talk about random orbit or rotary polishers.Only thing.... those wheels were put on with a torque wrench.... RIGHT???

I like the videos very informative. Do you happen to have any videos on how to remove smudges or scratches from your vehicle by hand. Thanks

@kanjikevin - the heat from the sun ... i know crazy right ??? will break down the compounds in the wax/ polish/ even car soap before they can dry/ adhere/ clean properly on your car ... you shouldnt even wash your car in direct sun either ...

@bretfraz excellent, thanks for the clarification. :) Sometimes marketing makes you believe the wax product "does it all" but I understand there's a different and a need for both.

@kanjikevin Most waxes do not work well when applied in direct sun. The heat makes them dry too fast and can make them very difficult to wipe off. Always wax in the shade or out of the sun for best results.

@AccidentallyFunny Polish is a product (and a process) made to restore and enhance the paint finish. It can remove/reduce swirl marks, oxidation, scratches & scuffs, etc. Polishing makes the biggest improvement in the look of your paint.Wax is a product designed to protect your paint finish and add shine. Think of waxing as protecting all the hard work you did in the polishing process. You can wax as often as you want but polishing shoud be done as needed.

I would usually dry my car off completely before using the clay. But now, not waiting for it to dry saves me a lot of time and effort.
